The IT Manager will be organized and efficient in our growing organization. Individual will be responsible for the management of information technology and computer systems; planning, organizing, controlling, and evaluating IT; and electronic data operations including implementation and maintenance. Individual will manage IT staff and communication of job expectations and appraise their performance.


Successful candidate will have solid IT knowledge and experience, be a self-starter, well organized, highly detailed, and have excellent communication skills. Individual will maintain our goals and ensure we are meeting the needs and demands of our internal and external clients at the highest level of service, quality, and responsiveness.


Core Duties

• Maintain, design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures

• Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems

• Analyze business needs presented by user needs and system functionality along with recommending solutions and timeline

• Maintain effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans

• Regularly audit systems and assess their outcomes

• Preserve assets, information security, and control structures

• Participate in annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

• Respond swiftly in managing inquiries, concerns, and requests

• Work cross divisionally where maintenance and growth needs are identified

• Maintain, create, update, and administer disaster plans

• Firm working knowledge and understanding of technology and solutions

• Use analytical & critical thinking in work processes and communication skills

• Protect confidentiality of information learned by performing duties of the position

• Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in information technology management

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in managing staff

• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or similar

• Linux Administration Experience

• Knowledge of Enterprise Storage Systems

• Insurance experience a plus


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proven working experience as IT manager or relevant experience

• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware / software systems

• Expertise in data center management and data governance

• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation

• Knowledge and use of security systems

• Experience in delegating and managing personnel

• Strong problem solving and communication skills

• Sense of urgency, initiative, responsiveness, & attention to detail

• Maintain highest level of confidentiality

• Exhibits a high level of positivity, energy, & teamwork orientation
